2 min read

And you thought there is never a girl online VisualThe spring 2016 anime series And you thought there is never a girl online? has its home video release plans set previously by NBC Universal Japan and now the promotion is moving along. We’ve still got a bit to go until the first volume for the series arrives but they’ve now let loose with the first promo for those releases as various cutoff dates start to hit. The release is planned for six volumes that are both listed as limited edition releases that begin on June 23rd, 2016. The DVDs are listed at 6,500 yen each and the Blu-ray’s at 7,500 yen each. Check the chart below for dates and known extras at this time!

The series is set to be directed by Shinsuke Yanagi based on series composition by Tatsuya Takahashi. It’ll be animated by Project No. 9.

The cast includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Hideki Nishimura / Lucian, Rina Hidaka as Ako Tamaki / Ako, Inori Minase as Akane Segawa / Schwein, M.A.O as Kyō Goshōin / Apricot, Hitomi Ohwada as Nanako Akiyama and Yoshino Nanjou as Yui Saitou.

The eighth volume, when released last year, sold around 20,000 copies. The series from Shibai Kineko has done well so far as it’s followed the Dengeki plan by getting a solid volume count out there and meriting a manga adaptation, which is done by Kazui Ishigami that began in March of this year.

Plot concept: Our naïve protagonist proposes to a female character in an online game, only to find out that the player is actually a guy. Traumatized by that, he decides to never trust a girl online, but now, two years later, a female player is proposing to him. What will happen?
