One More ‘Sansha Sanyou’ Manga Spot Arrives

2 min read

Sansha Sanyou Header 4-11The anime adaptation of the Sansha Sanyou manga has arrived and the folks at TOHO have dropped another new promo spot that highlights some of the silliness from the manga side. With the recent solicitations of the home video release we also learned that these will be included as extras on there as well. We’ve had several of these spots that lets the voice actors have some fun in bringing the characters to life through the manga versions, giving the fans a little of the series. Funimation has picked up the simulcast rights for the series.

The main cast includes Mai Kanazawa as Futaba Odagiri, Ayaka Imamura as Teru Hayama, Yū Wakui as Yoko Nishikawa, Machico as Serina Nishiyama, Aina Suzuki as Asako Kondō and Rika Momokawa as Shino Sonobe.

Sansha Sanyo is directed by Yasuhiro Kimura based on the series composition by Hideaki Koyasu and character designs by Jun Yamazaki. It’s being animated by Dogakobo.

The series is based on the work by creator Cherry Arai, who had some good luck last year in having their series Mikakunin de Shinkoukei receiving an anime adaptation. Sansha Sanyou has been serialized in the magazine since 2003.

Plot concept: The series focuses on three hilarious characters; Futaba Odagiri is the new transfer student with a super energetic personality; Teru Hayama is the class president with a surprisingly mean personality contrary to her innocent looks; and Youko Nishikawa is from a formerly rich, now extremely poor family who still holds on to her princess attitude. These three unlikely students with clashing personalities become good friends and survive the day-to-day teenage life in a very funny story.
