Viz Media is continuing its rollout of new material to Viz Media with the addition of Terra Formars Revenge on the service. The first episode of the series has now gone live in Japanese with English subtitles and Hulu will add new subtitled episodes on a seven day delay from their original Japanese air date. Those that subscribe to Hulu can watch this show in HD on your TV, mobile and computer.
The series will be animated at LIDEN Films again with TYO Animations, but it’s being directed by Michio Fukuda. Series composition is also changing as it’s now being handled by Naruhisa Arakawa. Character designs are now being done by Cagetzu Aizawa and Atsushi Ikariya which is also a change.

The first season was produced at LIDEN FILMS with Hiroshi Hamasaki directing based on scripts by Shogo Ysukawa. Character designs were done by Masanori Shino while Satoshi Kimura did the secondary character design work.
Plot concept: TERRAFORMARS makes its anime debut as a startling work of science fiction and adventure. With Earth becoming increasingly overpopulated, an ambitious plan has been put into place to terraform Mars using mold and cockroaches. Nearly 500 years after the plan, a mission to Mars, Annex 1, is under way to accomplish crucial research into the Virus currently plaguing mankind with the crew members who’ve been injected with various DNA of life on Earth in order to combat the Terraformars, giant humanoid cockroaches.
