After the success of Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199, it’s no surprise to see a continuation of the remake of the original 1974 series with Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2202 now announced. The new project doesn’t have a lot of details but the first key visual arrived to give us some of the mechanical aspects that fans love to see with this property via the Yamato Crew fan club magazine.
This new series will work to bring the 1978 sequel series to life along the same lines as the previous one with more details to come in the weeks ahead. For now, we know that Nobuyoshi Habara is on board to directed with Harutoshi Fukui handling the series composition and some scripting duties.
