‘Genocidal Organ’ Anime Feature Gets New Teaser

2 min read

Genocidal Organ PosterOriginally scheduled for November 2015, the Genocidal Organ feature was delayed indefinitely due to problems with manglobe as they entered bankruptcy and halted all of its projects. The production was taken over by a new studio called Geno Studio and now the first new teaser has surfaced for it. While we don’t have a new date for it just yet, this at least reminds us that it’s in production and hasn’t been written off completely.

Shuko Murase was also involved in working on the script while redjuice provided the original character designs for it. EGOIST is on board to do the theme song for it. No run time has been revealed for the film yet.

The cast includes Yūichi Nakamura as Clavis Shepherd, Satoshi Mikami as Williams, Yuuki Kaji as Alex, Kaito Ishikawa as Realand, Akio Ohtsuka as Rockwell, Sanae Kobayashi as Lucia and Takahiro Sakurai as John Paul.

Project Itoh is the pen name of Satoshi Ito, a 34-year-old science fiction novelist in Japan who died in 2009 but had some strong works. Some of his works are being brought to life in anime form with Genocidal Organ, Empire of Corposes and Harmony, all three of which have been released in North America by the book imprint of Viz Media, Haikasoru. Ito wrote for only two years before his death but left behind some fascinating works to be adapted.

Plot concept: The war on terror exploded, literally, the day Sarajevo was destroyed by a homemade nuclear device. The leading democracies transformed into total surveillance states, and the developing world has drowned under a wave of genocides. The mysterious American John Paul seems to be behind the collapse of the world system, and it’s up to intelligence agent Clavis Shepherd to track John Paul across the wreckage of civilizations, and to find the true heart of darkness—a genocidal organ.
