‘Flying Witch’ Anime Unveils Supporting Cast

Flying Witch Visual 1The upcoming anime adaptation of the manga series Flying Witch from Chihiro Ishizuka has updated once again with some new casting information arriving. We’d gotten some of the main cast previously and now the supporting cast is starting to take shape. We also recently got the first full promo for it, clocking in at 90 seconds, which you can see below again. The series is scheduled to premiere on April 9th, 2016. With JC Staff producing it, Katsushi Sakurabi has been set to direct it while Deko Akao is handling the scripts. Character designs are being done by Masato Yasuno.

The new cast additions include:

  • Kana Aoi as Akane Kowata
  • Shiori Mikami as Nao Ishiwatari
  • Mari Hino as Inukai
  • Yuka Iguchi as Anzu Shiina

The cast now includes:

  • Minami Shinoda as Makoto Kowata
  • Eri Suzuki as Chinatsu Kuramoto
  • Shinsuke Sugawara as Kei Kuramoto

The manga began back in 2012 in Bessatus Shonen Magazine and has released three volumes so far with a fourth to ship next April in Japan.

Plot concept: The series follows the 15-year-old witch Makoto Kowata and the other boys and girls in her daily life. With her black cat Chito, the somewhat aimless girl moved from Yokohama to live with her second cousin at Aomori in verdant northern Japan.
