Technical
In addition to the full color front and back covers (which need to be censored to be shown here in full–you can see a censored version here to the right), there are also a couple full color front pages which contain an ad for Project-H followed by what looks like an alternate cover. The binding and printing are solid with good quality paper stock and a firm spine that doesn’t immediately crack upon being opened up fully. There are no noticeable misprints or badly centered pages and the ink does not bleed. This volume is what they call “90% Uncensored” which means that there is often a tiny, thin black line printed across genitals, which is probably the funniest censoring around. If anything, the line just works to draw your attention to the parts that many readers’ eyes will naturally be drawn to from the start…but the forms must be respected. Silly Japanese censorship laws.
Rei Hibari’s artwork is quite detailed, with clean lines and plenty of fluids jumping every which direction, as one could expect from a book with a title such as this. The female character designs are very much on the voluptuous side, perhaps even a bit too much for my taste at times, but those who like their female designs very curvy should be pleased.
“Story”
Ahh, the erotic anthology. If sticking with just a couple characters (and designs) is too boring for you, then this is what you will be looking to find. Variety being the spice of life and all that. Though many of the girls will begin to look alike after a while (justified in the first story, which involves a pair of identical twins). The stories at least are all slightly different, even if all of them end the same exact way: sex and copious fluid transfer.
As noted, the first story involves a pair of busty identical twins, one of whom is an “easy” type while the other is quite straight-laced. But the common fable of twins feeling each other’s sensations comes into play as the uptight one is constantly feeling horny thanks to her twin’s rather frequent enjoyment of sex. The more prudish twin turns this around, however, when she’s invited over to the house of a boy she really likes and being annoyed by her sister interrupting her study session by having sex, she decides to have sex herself…which turns out to be better than the sex her sister was having at the time. Yeah, only in erotic fiction would you find stuff like this.
The other 10 stories (there are eleven in total) all focus as well on situations where a somewhat frustrated boy or girl finds fulfillment and satisfaction through the sexual act, going all the way to full ejaculation within the woman in every case. Interestingly, not all the stories revolve solely around the male’s needs and desires. The one least interested in male pleasure is “Trip Stone,” where a two women, a niece and aunt, share a psychic link thanks to a pair of charm bracelets bought by the niece. It so happens that the aunt is sexually frustrated with her husband who appears to be tired all the time and incapable of getting her pregnant (the aunt wants to have kids). The niece, on the other hand, has had enough of her boyfriend wanting sex all the time. Thanks to the charm bracelets, however, the aunt has “dreams” where she seems to switch bodies with her niece and gets to vent all of her frustration, the end result being that eventually her husband, not being hounded for sex all the time, finally does his duty and gets the aunt pregnant while the niece is dumped by her boyfriend who mysteriously claims that he can’t keep up with her (the niece’s) libido, even though the niece doesn’t recall having sex that often at all. A slightly unusual twist in that female desire is the focus here, even though it’s still largely in the service of male (viewing) pleasure.
There is quite of variety of fetishes on display, from a threesome to minor domination and public sex to an exaggerated interest in breasts. Nothing too rough or disquieting, however, for those who prefer to avoid the rough stuff and excessive unpleasantness. Quite stimulating at times, though one’s mileage may vary from story to story as some characters and situations are just naturally more or less appealing than others.
In Summary:
White stuff is the order of the day as every chapter features a different story involving two people (in one case three) getting it on and going all the way. If you are searching for variety in terms of setups and characters, this anthology does the job fairly well, as the different personality types and scenarios are fairly varied from story to story, though the character designs make some of the girls look like doppelgängers of ones you have seen earlier in the volume.
