While details are short at the moment, it has been confirmed that Grant Gustin, the title character of The Flash on The CW, will be making a crossover appearance on the CBS series Supergirl. With both characters sharing not only comic heritage coming from DC Comics, they’re both produced by the same executive producers. The episode is being developed now and is scheduled for a March 28th, 2016 debut

And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”
With the positive reaction received when Matt Ryan brought his Constantine character to Arrow, and the loud requests for this to happen and connect the Supergirl world in some way (presumably an Earth-3 or somesuch), this is definitely welcome news.
