2 min read

Endride VisualFor those looking for something stylish for the spring 2016 anime season your wishes have been answered with Endride. The newly announced show is an original work that will premiere in April and is scheduled to run for two cour, though it’s not clear whether it’ll be consecutive or not. There’s not much in the way of promotional material at the moment as they’re looking to debut a lot of that at AnimeJapan 2016. What we do have is the first blush staff and casting information.

The series is directed by Keiji Gotou of Kiddy Grade fame among others and he’s working off of overall composition from Touko Machida. The character designs are done by Kazushi Hagiwara and Nobuhiro Watsuki and it’s being animated at Brains Base.

The cast for the series includes:

Kensho Ono as Shun Asanaga
Toshiki Masuda as Emilio Langheim
Karen Miyama as Alicia
Ayaka Ohashi as Faralion
Hiroki Takahashi as Demetrio
Kousuke Toriumi as Eljuia

Plot concept: Shun Asanaga is a 15-year-old junior high school student with an optimistic and bright personality. One day, he finds a mysterious crystal at the office of his father, a scientist and a businessman. When he touches it, the world becomes distorted, and he is sent into the world of Endra. Emilio, a prince of the kingdom of Endra is nearing his 16th birthday and despises the reigning king Delzain. Since Emilio is now at the age when he can inherit the throne, he takes up a weapon and attempts revenge. However, because Emilio is too weak, he is captured by Delzain and put in prison. When Emilio is in grief, the wall of his cell becomes distorted and Shun appears from there. One, with a goal to return to his own world; another, with a goal to complete his revenge. What future lies ahead for the two boys trying to survive in Endra yet raised in two different worlds?
