There hasn’t been too much going on recently in regards to Digimon Adventure Tri: Ketsu, the second installment in the theatrical series for the property. With the premiere set and the first installment doing well, the first promotional video for the new feature has arrived.
It’s was announced late last year that the second installment will appear in Japan with a theatrical release on March 12th, 2016. The home video release will come a bit later on April 2nd, 2016 with details to be set up soon. The plan is for this installment to have a 75 minute running time, which is just a few minutes short of what the first one was.
Plot concept: It’s been six years since that summer adventure when Taichi “Tai” Yagami and the rest of the DigiDestined crossed over to the Digital World. And nearly three years have passed since the final battle between Hikari Yagami’s group and BelialVamdemon. As the peaceful days passed by, at some point the gate to the Digital World closed. Not even the DigiDestined know what caused this, and time alone continues to pass.
On one such day, a Kuwagamon suddenly appears in Odaiba. Its rampage leaves the town in ruins, and the people there in turmoil. Taichi happens to catch sight of the Kuwagamon, and he chases after it all by himself in an effort to halt its rampage. But there’s nothing he can do against a Kuwagamon.
Wow… teasing the 3rd movie before 2nd one even comes out. And I didn’t even have to click any Digitama….. That’s kind harsh to tease patamons going to die again though. That almost seems better left “unteased” . Though Im still pretty pumped for the second movie, love the return of the digimon Kaiser ! Finally makes sense how imperialdramon might fit in to the movie.
