The first feature film for the Kizumonogatari trilogy hit theaters today in Japan and that has a new TV spot out to herald it, which certainly plays to the intense nature of the work. The film will be getting a North American release this year as well with screenings already set. The second film is titled Nekketsu-hen, aka Passionate Blood, and a new key visual was released for it as well, which you can see to the right. The third film is Reiketsu-hen, aka Cold Blood. Formal dates will arrive later.
The first film has set Akiyuki Shinbou as the chief director with Tatsuya Oishi directing it. Akio Watanabe and Hideyuki Morioka are on board for the character designs and Shaft is once again handling the production for it.
Plot concept: I think it’s about time I talked about Kiss-Shot-Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade. I believe it’s something I have to do. I met her in the spring break between my second and third years of high school. That meeting had such impact, and was also quite devastating.
