Crunchyroll Adds ‘Sekko Boys’ For Winter 2016 Anime Lineup

Sekkou Boys Crunchyroll HeaderCrunchyroll has added another piece of the Ultra Super Anime Time block to their lineup as expected with the acquisition of Sekko Boys. The new series as part of the winter 2016 seasonw ill debut today at 11:40am ET for users and will be made available to them worldwide outside of Asia, making it very accessible.

The series was directed by Seiki Takuno with script and composition by Michiko Yokote. Eriko Itou handled the character designs and served as the chief animation director. Bonjour Suzuki provided the theme song for the series.

The announced cast includes Tomokazu Sugita as Saint George, Shinnosuke Tachibana as Medici, Jun Fukuyama as Hermes, Daisuke Ono as Mars, Shiho Kokido as Miki Ishimoto, Yui Makino as Mira Hanayashiki, Takaya Kuroda as Hanzō Horibe, Rena Maeda as Kinue Yamashita and Takahiro Sakurai as Hironori Yanagisawa.

Plot concept: A  four-member boy band whose members are all idols, literally: the group leader Saint Giorgio, the original celebrity Medici, the multitalented Hermes and the lover Mars. However, the only catch is that they are all stone busts! The anime depicts their story of making it as a boy band with the support of their fresh-faced manager, Miki Ishimoto, who has only recently graduated from college.
