The Kyoto Animation series Myriad Colors Phantom World has gotten its simulcast pickup revealed today as Crunchyroll has announced their acquisition of the series. The show is set to debut tomorrow, January 6th, 15 12:30pm ET for viewers. The series has a pretty good range of availability with a few caveats as it’s open worldwide excluding Asia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, and Aldo Adige.
The show will be directed by Tatsuya Ishihara while Kazumi Ikeda is serving double duty as the chief animation director as well as working on the character designs. Fumihiko Simo will be handling the series composition while animation is of course handled by Kyoto Animation.
The cast includes Hiro Shimono as Haruhiko Ichijou, Sumire Uesaka as Mai Kawakami, Saori Hayami as Reina Izumi, Maaya Uchida as Koito Minase, Azusa Tadokoro as Ruru, Misaki Kuno as Kurumi Kumamakura, Kikuko Inoue as Arisu Himeno and Daisuke Sakaguchi as Shousuke Morohashi. Plot concept: In the near future, spirits and monsters are in full sight. A boy leads a group of people with special abilities as they plot against a massive organization that takes advantage of a certain incident and eventually know the truth about their world in the process.
