2 min read

Kono SubarashiiWith details to come soon, Kadokawa has revealed the first promotional video for the home video release of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! in Japan on Blu-ray and DVD. The series is currently gearing up for its January 14th, 2016 debut and we’re waiting to see how the series lands in terms of overseas simulcast and eventual home video pickups as well. The promo gives us a little more of a taste of the show with sequences not seen previously in the spots we’ve had so far.

The previously announced cast includes Jun Fukushima as Kazuma Satou, Sora Amamiya as Aqua, Rie Takahashi as Megumin, Ai Kayano as Raratina Dustiness Ford, Sayuri Hara as Luna, Tetsu Inada as Ruffian, Ayaka Suwa as Chris, Takuya Eguchi as Kyouya Mitsurugi, Hiroki Yasumoto as Beldia Dullahan and Yui Horie as Wiz.

The series is set to be animated at Studio DEEN with Takaomi Kansaki directing based on scripts by Makoto Uezeu and character designs by Kouichi Kikuta.

Translated as Gifting the Wonderful World with Blessings!, it comes from writer Akatsuki Natsume with illustrations by Mishima Kurone. The book began in the fall of 2013 and has eight volumes released so far. It also got the expected manga adaptation along the way with Masahito Watari illustrating that starting back in September 2014, which was one of the clues that this was likely going to get an anime adaptation.

Plot concept: Kazuma Satou is a shut-in who loves game, his life ended suddenly… Appearing before him is a beautiful girl claiming to be a goddess. Kazuma, who was transported to a different world, worked hard to earn a living! Kazuma wanted to live a stable life, but was burdened with problems caused by the goddess he brought along to the different world with him. He was even targeted by the demon king’s army?!
