The upcoming first feature film for the Kizumonogatari trilogy had a character spot released last week for Hanekawa and has now followed that up with a more formal TV spot about the film in general. The project is being broken into the three pieces with the first film, Tekketsu-hen, debuting on January 8th, 2016. The arrival of the spot has also brought some news via the official site that the second film will arrive this coming summer in Japan. We’d hazard that the third film will get a late fall release if they’re sticking to this kind of schedule for it.
The second film is titled Nekketsu-hen, aka Passionate Blood, while the third film is Reiketsu-hen, aka Cold Blood. Formal dates will arrive later.
The first film has set Akiyuki Shinbou as the chief director with Tatsuya Oishi directing it. Akio Watanabe and Hideyuki Morioka are on board for the character designs and Shaft is once again handling the production for it.
Plot concept: I think it’s about time I talked about Kiss-Shot-Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade. I believe it’s something I have to do. I met her in the spring break between my second and third years of high school. That meeting had such impact, and was also quite devastating.
