Announced last December as going into production by Sega, the TV adaptation of the Chain Chronicle game into anime form now has its first look online at the property. With some shorts being screened at limited events in Japan this fall, this gives more fans their first look at the property that’s getting the name Chain Chronicle: The Light of Haecceitas. No broadcast premiere date has been set for this series yet.
With an eight-episode run of Chain Chronicle in its short-form adaptation last fall, the show did well enough for Sega Networks to announce a TV series had been given approval. The news came at the Sega Networks Fan Appreciation Festival last December 2014. The shorts were directed by Takeshi Mori at Sotsu and Jumonji studios based on the scripts by QUALIA, the name of the group that wrong the original game scenario and the drama CD that came out previously. The series characters were designed by Hiromi Kato. The series previously had some of its cast announced, but not tied to roles.
The cast for those shorts, which we suspect will return for the full series, were:
Akira Ishida as Hero/Haruaki/Black Knight
Ayane Sakura as Phina/Touka
Maaya Uchida as Pirika/Ninfa
Kotori Koiwai as Rinse/ Yuni
Junichi Yanagita as Werner/Knuckle
Shiori Mikami as Rifrette
Mikako Komatsu as Cain
Yuka Terasaki as Marina/Aldora
Rina Satou as Mishidia / Yugudo
Yu Kobayashi as Kiki
Natsuko Kuwatani as Eirenusu
Tetsu Inada as Greg/Dodogaru
Yukiyo Fujii as Juliana
