FUNimation is looking to capture some of the magic of the original series combined with comedy that drives a lot of shows today with the English language adaptation of Attack on Titan: Junior High. The series is one of several getting a Broadcast Dub run while the Japanese version began its simulcast run in early October. The first episode is set to go live tomorrow at 8pm ET and the production for it has been revealed. The series has set Mike McFarland to direct it with Felecia Angelle and Todd Haberkorn serving as assistant ADR directors. Not surprisingly, the cast here is… familiar.

Attack on Titan: Junior High is directed by Yoshihide Ibata based on the composition by Midori Gotou and character designs by Yuuko Yahiro. Production IG handled the animation and the main Japanese voice cast from the anime series proper wreturned for it as well.
Plot concept: The school comedy story is set in a junior high school and centers on the original manga’s characters such as Eren and Mikasa as they battle with Titans. The spinoff incorporates gags while using Attack on Titan’s story and notable scenes as its basis.
