What doesn’t turn someone into a mechalossus?!

Rain causes another tourist to get upset and turn mechalossus, but Daijirou has just the sweet for the job.

Daijirou’s struggles to just do his job as a shop owner have been fun to watch and we’ve seen him step up several times so far when it comes to the mechalossus threat. He’s out trying to deal with a small and fast one that’s out and about, but it goes poorly for him when the rain hits and turns a tourist into a massive one. The problem, of course, is that Doamayger is back at the shop. But in tried and true classic fashion, just intensity from Daijirou’s part will draw the giant robot to where he is to fight – and protect the beauty of a rainy Kyoto day.
In Summary:
The structure of the series has certainly been set since early on so it doesn’t exactly strain itself here with what it does. But Doamayger-D continues to be a charmingly fun show for what it does, both in terms of the animation style and just the writing of it with the gags and visual cues. I’m not looking for story here but rather looking for wisps of nostalgia combined with rose colored glasses looking back at the works of old. And the show certainly delivers, big time.
