With two TV series behind it, a four episode OVA story and a couple of specials as well, the first two of a four-part series of films for Tamayura, the focus on the third installment is growing. Set to open on November 28th, 2015, we recently got the film’s title as well as the theatrical poster key visual. The third installment is now set to be called Tamayura: Sotsugyō Shashin Dai-3-bu -Akogare- which is being translated as Tamayura: Graduation Photos Part 3: Adoration. With all of that set, distributor Shochiku has now let loose with the first thirty-second promo for the film, one that definitely highlights the setting as you’d expect.
The feature series is designed to bring the whole story to a close with most of the team from the TV run returning to it with Junichi Sato handling series composition and directorial duties as the original creator while working off the script from Reiko Yoshida. Haruko Iizuka is handling the character designs and serving as the chief animation director.
The film stars Kana Asumi as Kaoru Hanawa, Yuka Iguchi as Nori Okazaki, Yuko Gibu as Maon Sakurada and Ayana Taketatsu as Fuu Sawatari as they reprise their roles from the series.
The property began with a first season that began airing back in 2011 and returned for a second season in the summer of 2013. An extra episode was included with the 7th volume of the home video release and there have been five OVAs as well. The third film is scheduled for November 28th and the fourth on February 10th, 2016.
Plot Concept: The story takes place in Seto Inland Sea and is about a girl who likes taking pictures.
