FUNimation’s bringing out the limited edition and regular edition releases of Tokyo Ghoul tomorrow in DVD/BD combo form and ahead of that they’ve let loose with a new preview of the dub. Though we’ve had exposure to the second season through the Broadcast Dub initiative, there’s been a lack of clips for the first season of the show ahead of release compared to what we used to get, so this provides a good look for fans for it.
On disc extras include Episode Commentaries, Kaneki in Black and White, Japanese Commercials, Promotional Videos, Preview Collection, Textless Opening Songs, Textless Closing Songs, U.S. Trailer, Trailers
Plot concept: In modern day Tokyo, society lives in fear of Ghouls: mysterious creatures who look exactly like humans — yet hunger insatiably for their flesh. None of this matters to Ken Kaneki, a bookish and ordinary young man, until a dark and violent encounter turns him into the first ever Ghoul-human half breed. Trapped between two worlds, Ken must survive the violent conflicts of warring Ghoul factions, while attempting to learn more about Ghoul society, his newfound powers, and the fine line between man and monster.
