‘Ace Attorney’ TV Anime Series Finally Coming

Ace AttorneyWith the popularity of the games worldwide, it really is surprising that it’s taken this long for an Ace Attorney series to get the green light. Known in Japan as Gyakuten Saiban, a TV anime series has now been scheduled for the spring 2016 season. Capcom is making a full court press with franchise this coming year as there’s a live action film, stage play, music and manga adaptation in the works. With the games beginning way back in 2001 with numerous ports and new releases, it’s a property that can easily cross into the mainstream if played right.

No production team or cast have been revealed at this point.

Plot concept: The games follow the exploits of a passionate rookie defense attorney named Ryuuichi Naruhodou (Phoenix Wright in English versions) who fights for his clients in a courtroom setting loosely resembling that of the Japanese legal system, using investigative skills, cross-examinations, and evidence.
