‘Prince of Stride: Alternative’ Anime Announced

Prince of Stride - Alternative VisualOtome games generate anime series fairly regularly and a new one has been announced with Prince of Stride: Alternative. Based on the game that’s on the PS Vita, the series is being planned for awinter 2016 debut and will be animated by Madhouse with Media Factory doing the promotion. The first promo video has revealed that the cast will be the same as the game and the main staff has been announced as well. The series will be directed by Atsuko Ishizuka based on the overall series composition from Taku Kishimoto and character designs by Kokunen Ou. The official site has gone live here.

Plot concept: The series is about an extreme form of sport known as “Stride.” It involves 6 players on a team that runs relay races in towns. The story takes place at Honan Academy where first year high school students Takeru Fujiwara and Nana Sakurai try to recruit members for their “Stride” club. They request Riku Yagami to join with the help of Takeru and Nana. Their goal is to compete and win the “End of Summer,” a top competition hosted in Japan alongside other schools.

  1. This looks pretty cool…although I’m not much for sports anime. But if Madhouse is behind it, I’ll give it a look.

  2. most of the cast consists of capable and awesome seeiyus!!!!!!! not to mention the pv looks great…i think this will definitely be worth the watch
