The August charts for what’s moving and selling within the bookstore chain via Nielsen BookScan has arrived from ICv2. August has been a good month for the manga side of the business with Naruto and Attack on Titan each claiming two spots while Viz Media grabs two spots for Tokyo Ghoul, which is making some serious inroads quickly here. Seven Seas Entertainment gets the sixth spot with Monster Musume and it’s a fairly rare month without any Yen Press books from the manga side showing up here.
The comic side has the deluxe edition of Batman: The Killing Joke again taking the top spot as these evergreen books are want to do and we also get other familiars here such as Watchmen and the recent Batman: Court of Owls. The latest Fables book ranks well and people are prepping for the next Dark Knight series by digging into the more recent release.
