‘Cat’s Eye’ Anime Begins Hulu Distribution

2 min read

Cat's Eye Hulu HeaderTMS Entertainment continues to bring a number of their series out for distribution in the US through Hulu and they’ve now started adding one of the bigger ones. The 1983 TV series Cat’s Eye now has its first episode available for streaming in its original Japanese language with English subtitles. The show originally ran for 73 episodes through 1985 and we expect they’ll be bringing out new episodes in batches over time. Those that subscribe to Hulu can watch this show on their TV and mobile devices.

The series is released on DVD in North America through Nozomi Entertainment, who acquired it in summer 2013. Check our past coverage on the series here.

Plot concept: Michael Heinz, a famous painter and art aficionado, has gone missing along with his immensely valuable collection of rare and precious works. His three daughters, Ai, Hitomi, and Rui, believe that the missing pieces could contain the only clues to their father’s whereabouts. Because of this they’ve decided to liberate these works of art from their current owners! Before each theft, the trio always informs the owner by using a special calling card inscribed with the name “Cat’s Eye.” The girls avoid suspicion, despite running a coffee shop by the same name right across the street from the police station. Can the girls find their father before their masquerade is finally revealed?

  1. I’ve never gotten around to checking this show out, and the reviews I’ve read here haven’t been that encouraging.
