Sentai Filmworks is continuing to do their reveals regarding their Beyond the Boundary series release that’s due out on October 13th, 2015 by revealing another member of the cast. They’re doing it in a similar way to other recent dub announcements by providing a look at a dub clip with the actor in the studio. The third announcement is for the character of Akihito Kanbara, who was played by Kenn in the Japanese edition. Here, he’ll be played by Clint Bickham. Check out the clip below!
The series is being directed by Chris Ayres.
The collector’s edition comes with a Booklet, Keychain, 3 inch sticker, Poster, 4 postcards, Lanyard, Glasses, Ruler, Pin set, Foil card, Authenticity card and Poly bags.
The release brings the twelve episode series plus the episode zero OVA together. The companion book is 96 pages and includes sketches, character profiles and more. I suspect that the page difference with the Japanese version, which was 112, may be due to a different book size comparatively speaking and more could be put in. But we’ll wait for more. The materials are all housed within a heavy chipboard box and the cases come with reversible artwork.
Plot concept: They should never have met. They shouldn’t even exist. But when they come together, the entire world will change. The last surviving member of her clan, Mirai Kuriyama is cursed with the terrifying ability to control and manipulate blood, a power so heretical that she is shunned even by those with the ability to understand her “gift”. Akihito Kanbara is only half human, but while the monstrous other half of his lineage seems to have doomed him to a life alone, it has also given him near invulnerability in the form of rapid healing. Alone, their futures seem bleak, but when a chance encounter brings them together, it becomes clear that they share more than just an unexpected bond. Together they share a destiny and a mission that only the two of them together may be strong enough to survive. Beyond the world that we know, in a realm where nightmares are real and legends walk, their future awaits BEYOND THE BOUNDARY
Real bummer that episode 0 is only in the collector’s edition, and not the standard one. Paying triple digits for a 12 episode series has always been a turn-off for me, no matter how many extra bells and whistles they throw onto it.
Wow, not bad. I thought that this was a second season or something though, haha.
First I’m hearing of this getting dubbed, very happy it’s happening too. There’s loads of little things you can miss in this series while looking at captions.
