My Wife Is The Student Council President Episode 8A doctor’s visit many would like to have.

What They Say:
The story begins with Izumi Hayato running to be student body president. But when a beautiful girl swings in promising the liberalization of love while flinging condoms into the audience, he ends up losing to her and becoming the vice president. At the student council meeting, the newly-elected president invites herself over to Izumi’s house, where she promptly announces she is to become Izumi’s wife thanks to an agreement – facilitated by alcohol – made between their parents when they were only 3.

With some fun with neighbors the last time around now that Misumi is close by, the show actually moved things forward a bit with Ui and Izumi in a very good way. What’s interesting though is that while we do see them getting closer and it’s working well, the show finds ways to disrupt the way you view it. A lot of the humor comes from the looks of the characters but we continue to get those brief pauses where they look more like they would in other shows and not quite so petite and near-chibi. When they do that with Ui it really does work well because it’s given so much detail and full coloring with layers that you’d almost want a series with them all done realistically while playing to the sexual aspects as well. Especially now that you have Misumi and her sister living in the same building causing trouble by her mere presence.

This episode has the sisters now playing with Izumi by taking him to the school doctor’s office to check him out but he’s afraid that part of it is trying to suss out what’s going on with Ui. Of course, Misumi’s sister takes things pretty far in what she does to him and it’s amusing to see how she tries to get him to really accept his apparent crossdressing ways that come from obvious misunderstandings. It takes on some hilarious sexual tones as she straddles him and against feels like it’s ready to just go full on hentai here. As a fantasy it certainly works and they play it for all it’s worth here, especially as Misumi is told to take over in getting him ready, which she does. It turns into a surprisingly tender moment for the two and there’s a lot to like with that as they’ve had a few of those so far. While there’s an awkward like between them you can see this being something more if they can get past that. And that’s if Izumi can get past being done up so prettily as a woman.

In Summary:
With Ui given a minimal role here the focus turns to Izumi and the Misumi sisters at school. It definitely has a lot of really fun moments to it as it plays out though the show takes a shorter turn here overall with some gag material at the end that doesn’t hold back in showing off Sailor Moon material in the background, among others. Where this works though is in seeing the dynamic between the two sisters and how they deal with Izumi due to the misunderstanding they have. Izumi handles it as well as can be and there’s a lot of pervy laughs to have here. Izumi really does clean up well as a woman and you can see Misumi wanting to put him into this form a whole lot more.

  1. It was another fun episode, with Izumi exhausted from studying, and the sisters taking him to the nurses office to rest. It’s a good mix of comedy, ecchi, and screwball silliness, with some tender character interactions as well. The only negative is Ui’s absence from this episode, as I’ve found that this series is at its best when Yi and Izumi are clicking together. The two characters just feed off each other so well, especially (but not only) in the ecchi moments of the show. This continues to be a lot of fun to watch.
I think the show could’ve been made into a standard format show, but they’d have had to add a lot of filler. So far its been very faithful to the source material, which has made the 10 minutes format work very well for this series.
