Madman Entertainment has kept fans in Australia waiting awhile to find out what’s going on with their release as it was planned for April of this year but was pulled. The release was looking to be similar in design overall to what Viz Media put out in North America, but it would be DVD only. Now the company has added a new response that you can see below about it in that they’re getting closer to announcing what will be going on with it and confirming that they will be using different masters than what Viz Media used for theirs, which was an area of concern to say the least among fans not pleased by it.
The DVD release was set to have some on-disc extras on it including the clean opening and closing, artwork galleries and the behind the scenes material for the English language dub. We’ll update when new information arrives/
Plot concept: Usagi Tsukino is a cheerful 14-year-old schoolgirl who often finds herself in unwanted trouble. One day, she saves a talking cat named Luna from some mean kids, and her life is changed forever. Luna gives Usagi a magic brooch that transforms her into Sailor Moon, defender of love and justice! Now Usagi must work with Luna to find the other Sailor Guardians and the Moon Princess, whose Legendary Silver Crystal is Earth’s only hope against the dark forces of the evil Queen Beryl!
You have the rights for Sailor Moon for New Zealand and Australia? Will you be doing like what VIZ Media is doing for North America? Will your releases be of better quality?

Better masters? I hope so for the Australian fans.
