FUNimation Will Simulcast The ‘One Piece – Episode of Sabo’ Anime Special

2 min read

One Piece Episode of Sabo VisualWhen it comes to special episodes it’s always best to think that they won’t be simulcast until we’re told that they are so as to stave off any disappointment. Which makes it welcome news that FUNimation is getting out ahead of things to announce that the upcoming One Piece: Episode of Sabo special this coming weekend will indeed be simulcast on the service. This one will be coming a bit later on Saturday night as it’ll show up at 1am (Sunday morning) instead of the usual 10pm schedule.

The work has had its theme song artist revealed recently with Goodbye holiday slated to perform their new song Liberator for it and you get a good taste of it throughout each of the spots.

The special is going to capitalize on the return of Sabo to the series recently in the Dressrosa arc. While details are still a bit slim overall, the official channel has previously revealed the key visual for the work and confirmed that it will be called Episode of Sabo: The Three Brothers’ Bond – The Miraculous Reunion and the Inherited Will, which keeps it in line with the previous specials of this nature.

Details are naturally nearly non-existent at this point, but it’s coming from the same production team. One Piece has done a few specials before, with Merry getting on and Nami as well as a few others.

  1. Great news. Perfect for my lazy Sunday plans. Hopefully, sometime down the road, Funimation picks up the rights for the Nami, Luffy, and Merry specials.
