The latest data has arrived from Diamond regarding the month of July 2015 in regards to the direct market world of comics and it is pretty interesting to see how it’s all unfolding. Marvel again takes the top spot as they’re riding high off of both Star Wars as an overall property and the Civil War event. They ended up taking eight of the top ten spots while DC Comics grabbed a spot with the latest Batman installment and Archie Comics made a great debut with the opening installment of their updated Archie series. It’s interesting to see how high the Lando series debuted, considering that both Kanan and Princess Leia struggled compared to the mainline series and Darth Vader.
The graphic novel side is pretty solid here as we get the end of Fables arriving and a good mix of titles in general, especially compared to the more backlist heavy BookScan numbers we get from the book store channel.
