With its release at the end of June now pretty much done theatrically in Japan, Bandai Visual has set the home video release for Ghost in the Shell: New Movie, which works off of the Arise production and cast members. The film is now scheduled for an October 28th, 2015 release with a limited edition Blu-ray priced at 9,800 yen while the regular edition DVD is priced at 7,800 yen. Both releases will come with English language subtitles on it as well as Traditional Chinese subtitles.
The Blu-ray release comes with a full scenario book and a luxury booklet while it also includes bonus footage with the original teasers and trailers as well as an audio commentary. A bonus disc will include the director’s cut edition, the recaps that were streamed previously with the special programs, a cast night analysis and a stage greeting that was done.
