Ami Koshimizu Boards ‘Himouto! Umaru-chan’ Anime Series

Himouto Umaru-Chan AnnouncementThe upcoming anime series Himouto! Umaru-chan is getting ready for its debut in just about a day or so and now an additional bit of casting has been revealed for the show. The series has now revealed that Ami Koshimizu has joined the show to take on the role of Kano in it, one of the other members of the overall circle that exists. Koshimizu has an extensive career overall with what she’s been involved with across all sorts of media, from when she debuted in 2003 in Ashita no Nadja to her role in sevearl series this year including Gangsta and Dog Days” among others.

Set to debut on July 9th, 2015, the series has revealed that Tetsuya Kakihara will be playing Alex while Hiroki Yasumoto will be playing Bonba. The anime adaptation of SankakuHead’s manga series is set for summer 2015 series. The show will be directed by Masahiko Ohta based on the scripts by Takashi Aoshima along with character designs by Aya Takano and that it’ll be done at Dogakoba. Ohta, Aoshima and sound director Yasunori Ebina all worked together on Yuruyuri and a few of them on Kotoura-san.

The main cast is set to include Aimi Tanaka as Umaru Doma, Yurina Furukawa as Sylphynford Tachibana, Haruka Shiraishi as Kirie Motoba, Akari Kageyama as Nana Ebina, Kenji Nojima as Taihei Doma, Tetsuya Kakihara as Alex, Hiroki Yasumoto as Bonba and Ami Koshimizu as Kano.

The news comes as the fifth volume of the series arrived recently in Japan. That property has been running since 2013 in Weekly Young Jump. More production details are expected to arrive in upcoming issues of the magazine.

Plot concept: The sibling gag comedy manga centers around Umaru, Taihei’s little sister who boasts beautiful looks as well as prowess in both school and sports; however, “Himouto” (beautiful little sister) has a certain secret.
