‘Noragami Aragoto’ Anime Cast Expands

Noragami Season 2The second season of Noragami is coming this fall as Noragami Aragoto and work is proceeding well on it. While some productions keep quiet until the very end, even not revealing casting until an episode is about to be broadcast, we’ve got some new casting and character updates for this arc. The official site has updated with two new pieces of casting that have revealed thatHisako Tojo has joined as Aiha while Takanori Hoshino has boarded as Kugaha. Their character designs have been reveled below. The show will be directed by Kotaro Tamura based on scripts by Deko Akao along with character designs by Toshihiro Kawamoto. BONES handled the animation production for it.

The season is set to work the Biashamon arc of the manga which focuses on the war god of the same name. No details have been released about when they intend to bring the series to broadcast have been revealed yet.

The series stars Hiroshi Kamiya as Yato, Maaya Uchida as Hiyori Iki, Yuuki Kaji as Yukine, Miyuki Sawashiro as Bishamon, Jun Fukuyama as Kazuma, Aki Toyosaki as Kofuku, Daisuke Ono as Daikoku, Toru Ohkawa as Tenjin, Asami Imai as Mayu, Rie Kugimiya as Nora, Hisako Tojo as Aiha and Takanori Hoshino as Kugaha.

The first season of the series was picked up for North American release by FUNimation at the end of 2014 with plans for them to release it in the summer of 2015 in DVD/BD combo form.

Plot concept: Yato may just be a minor god now, but he’s determined to make it big and he’s got a plan. Unfortunately, things just don’t seem to be going his way. He doesn’t have a single shrine dedicated to him, his partner has just quit, and now he’s got to find a new divine weapon. Just when things look bleak, he meets a girl named Hiyori and changes her life forever.
