‘Yuryuri San Hai’ Anime Gets Season Set

2 min read

YuruyuriThe summer season is good for getting premiere information, but also for shows coming out at other times to have events. Such is the case with Yuruyuri, as the Field Day event was held this past weekend. While there’s plenty of fun to be had for fans there, it also ended up revealing that the third series, Yuryuri San Hai, will debut in the fall 2015 season. Before that there will be the OVA getting a broadcast in July and a couple of specials to follow in August and September.

What’s different with this season is that the production team from the first two seasons won’t be involved, but the production team from the OVA will. That means we’ll see the season directed by Hiroyuki Hata at TYO Animations based on story material from him and Makoto Fukami. Mtohiro Taniguchi is on board to work the character designs and also serve as the chief animation director.

This series follows up the 2011 and 2012 series, which were streamed by Crunchyroll and released on home video by NIS America, as well as an OVA release. No details about the production were revealed or when it might debut, or how long it might have already been in production.

Plot concept: Right after starting middle school, Akari Akaza joins the Amusement Club which is composed solely by her two childhood friends, Kyouko Toshinou and Yui Funami. Chinatsu Yoshikawa, Akaza’s classmate, becomes a member after finding out about the dissolution of the Tea Club.

The Amusement Club, situated at the tea room facility since the Tea Club disbanded, has no clear purpose, being free for the girls to do whatever they want.
