Japanese ‘Psycho-Pass The Movie’ Anime DVD/BD TV Spots Highlights Premium Edition Aspects

Psycho-Pass Film Image 1After debuting this past January in Japan, the home video release of Psycho-Pass The Movie is scheduled for a July 15th, 2015 debut there in both regular and premium edition releases. Ahead of that release, a new promotional spot for it has arrived that highlights the premium edition side of the show, which comes with a specially designed box, a 180 page book and a bonus disc of materials that runs about 80 minutes across all of it. And that’s in addition to the commentary track by the director and others on the production team. The spot below shows off some of the bonus items and some of the retailer exclusive chase items as well.

The film is approximately 120 minutes with the original story from Gen Urobuchi and a screenplay by him and Makoto Fukami with Akira Amano on character design, produced by Production IG.

Plot concept: Year 2116 – The Japanese government begins to export the Sibyl System unmanned drone robots to troubled countries, and the system spreads throughout the world. A state in the midst of a civil war, SEAUn (the South East Asia Union), brings in the Sibyl System as an experiment. Under the new system, the coastal town of Shambala Float achieves temporary peace and safety. But then SEAUn sends terrorists to Japan. They slip through the Sibyl System and then attack from within. The shadow of a certain man falls on this incident. In charge of the police, Tsunemori travels to Shambala Float to investigate. The truth of justice on this new ground will become clear.
