2 min read

Takujo no Ageha - The Table Tennis of AgehaNew manga series get their chance in the big leagues often enough and one of those was the debut last year of The Table Tennis of Ageha. Created by Itsuki Furuya, it debuted in November last year as a full series after getting its one-shot during the summer. It also got the first couple of chapters published in the English language edition from Viz Media digitally. Unfortunately, the book hasn’t found the critical mass it needs to continue in Japan and it looks like the next installment will be the last one. That comes as the series gets its second volume published on May 1st and now the remaining chapters will arrive in the third volume on June 4th, 2014.

The series marks Furuya’s first work. A new project is already in the works for him.

Plot concept: Meet Ageha, a promising successor to Japan’s golden age of table tennis. He’s under the tutelage of a former world champion whose granddaughter Ririka is also at the top of her game – though she’s playing a more seductive sport. Both would rather die than recognize the other’s talents, which is going to get interesting when they find out they’re engaged!
