Kei Toume’s ‘Yesterday wo Utatte’ Manga Ending In June

Yesterday wo UtatteOne of the things that continues to be impressive with a number of manga creators is just how long they can go with a project. Kei Toume began Yesterday wo Utatte back in 1997 and the series is now set to end on June 3rd, 2015. The series had a bit of a break in 2011 as it shifted magazines, originally starting in Business Jump before ending up in Grand Jump, and when all is said and done it should be an eleven volume series. The tenth volume of the series landed in May of 2014. It’s been getting a French release with that volume set to arrive today there. No North American pickup has occurred.

Plot concept: After college, Rikuo Uozumi, a boy without much ambition in life, takes on a job at a convenience store. The days pass by uneventfully for Rikuo until he meets his former girlfriend and classmate, but especially thanks to the unusual Haru Nonaka, and her pet raven…
