2 min read

The Rolling Girls HeaderPony Canyon is handling the distribution in Japan for the winter 2015 anime series The Rolling Girls and with the first volume out a couple of weeks ago, they’re reminding fans about it since it includes priority ticket material for an upcoming event. And they want to boost sales a bit for the release too. The series is getting a six volume release for the twelve episode series where the Blu-ray releases are priced at 7,600 yen each while the DVDs are at 6,600 yen each, which began on March 18th, 2015.

The first volume is slotted to have two episodes and will come with some chibi theater material for it as the main extra while also including some of the screening and cast talk material that was recorded during the events held prior to the premiere.

Check out the artwork for the first volume here.

The show comes from Wit Studio and it has some really appealing designs to it. The series is going to star Ari Ozawa as Nozomi Moritomo, Rina Hidaka as Yukina Kosaka, Risa Taneda as Ai Hibiki and Yumiri Hanamori as Aya Misonochi. The series is set to premiere in Japan on January 10th, 2015 on MBS with a roll out to other networks on January 11th and January 12th.

Plot concept: Gun your engines and get ready for the full-throttle adventure of The Rolling Girls, the first original anime from the studio that brought you Attack on Titan! In the wake of the Great Tokyo War, Japan – as the world once knew it – no longer exists. What remains is a fragmented network of independent nations, each ruled by a prophet known as a Mosa. Every Mosa commands an army, or Mob, as they seek to conquer anyone in their path. Enter Nozomi, Yukina, Ai, and Chiaya. Together, these intrepid and adorable girls travel across battle-ravaged Japan, seeking to transform themselves – and their world!
