A young man is muttering to himself presumably because he has a level of sanity equivalent to mine. The villains, now in their dominatrix outfits, strike him with the evil green porcupine needle as per usual. Next the heroes are chatting some offhand character development when they receive their bracelet bat signal and transform into magical boys and banter with the villain. Blond McProtag is way to excited about this by the by.
In order to make it to the mountain where they promised to meet the Sgt. Frog reject they strike a deal with the sleazy reporter from a few episodes ago. He promises to pay the gang for being gravure models. Disappointingly for the audience it’s simply cosplay. This is all shoved into a 30 second montage. Also receiving the montage treatment is their hike up the mountain where Sgt. Reject has laid some traps for them.
All this uninteresting stuff was pushed aside for more interesting things like more banter between Sgt. Reject and the gang. Why would we want to see a lewd photo shoot or an extended action scene when we can see more talking? Through the power of love, they transform the monster back into the mutterer thus proving the power of pseudo romance.
In Summary: This episode was about par for the course for this series. It really is a shame though that the action was missing this episode though. If you have seen the prior episodes this one is worth watching. It does feel like the animation is more choppy with recent episodes though this one is especially bad for that.
