Noir Blu-ray CoverFUNimation announced a Blu-ray release for Noir earlier this year and the set is now landing on April 14th, 2014, though without too much fanfare for a bit. Since we’re just a few weeks away, they’ve now put together a pretty solid three minute promotional trailer for it that showcases the differences between the standard edition DVD release from before and the new high definition remaster. The set is priced at $49.98 and will bring all twenty-six episodes of the series out in one set as part of the Anime Classics line as a Blu-ray only release.

Extras on the disc include the Episode 15 Commentary, Episode 16 Commentary, Mirelle Music Video, Chloe Music Video, Textless Opening Song, Textless Closing Song, Trailers, Original Japanese Promos, Interview with Houko Kuwashima, ,Interview with Kotono Mitsuishi , Interview with Tarako, Interview with Aya Hisakawa Kirika Music VideoInterview #1 with Shelley Calene-Black (Mireille) and Monica Rial (Kirika), Interview #2 with Shelley Calene-Black (Mireille) and Monica Rial (Kirika), Interview #3 with Hilary Haag (Chloe) and Tiffany Grant (Altena), Interview with English Cast and Noir – The Unsoled Story.

Plot concept: Mireille makes a living out of killing as an international assassin. Kirika is an amnesiac with uncanny speed and stealth. Under the codename Noir, these two young mistresses of semi-automatics and improvised weapons track and execute criminal syndicates across the globe as they hunt for clues to their connected pasts—but it is they who are actually being hunted. Caught in the crosshairs of a centuries-old conspiracy, the deadly beauties of Noir aim to expose the secrets of the ancient society orchestrating their lives. Will Mireille and Kirika have a future after they learn the truth about their pasts?
