Miltiary has some fun right from the get go with the amount of destruction caused in taking down an enemy chopper as we now have the place pretty much nothing more than ruins. Which certainly complicates things for everyone. But that’s just prelude to the real fun as we get to see Lutgarnikov so excited about the arrival of a new tank. What ends up happening is that she gets her tank to prove it’s still great and runs a competition to see who can pick Souhei up first, which leads to some awkward fanservice and plenty of silly violence. That spreads along the way as the two sides go at it to get back to the remains of the house and with some very amusing music along the way, it’s totally silly.
In Summary:
While the show is still struggling to find the right balance and pacing as it goes along, Military has a pretty fun episode here overall with lots of comical violence, tank action and fanservice. Souhei really is just stuck in trying to cope with all of this as best as he can as there’s little that he can do, but seeing him along for the ride and how he reacts definitely has its moments. This might be a painful show if it ran longer than this per episode, but at three minutes, it’s silly enough to leave me smiling, even with its problems.
