The folks at AnimeLab continue to beef up their service for Australian and New Zealand fans and now they’ve got the first two seasons of one of the better fanservice shows with an actual story to it available. The company has added High School DxD and High School DxD New to their catalog for this weekend, which you can see here, which gives you twenty-four episodes worth of a lot of fun as it deals with the war between heaven and hell and those caught up in it.

The show is well timed for streaming as third season is planned to debut in April with High School DxD BorN.

The light novel series began in 2008 and has seventeen volumes to its name so far. A manga adaptation kicked off in 2010 with the main run of it having four volumes, but there are a few spinoffs as well. Yen Press has picked up the main manga as well as the first spinoff from 2012. A 3DS visual novel game was released at the end of 2013 in Japan as well.

Plot concept: A war between heaven and hell is raging on Earth – and a hot mess of hormonal fury is raging in Issei’s pants. The guy is dying to get some action. Which is funny, since his first date ever turns into a winged monster and tries to kill him. Fortunately, ridiculously curvy redhead Rias comes to his rescue. She’s president of The Occult Research Club, a club that doesn’t actually research the occult. They ARE the occult – and Rias is a Devil. Rias takes Issei as a more-than-willing slave and begins training him to use magic in battle against the Fallen Angels, the long-time enemies of Devils everywhere. If Issei can improve his mystical skills, he’ll be able to help his hotter-than-hell master and her scorching supernatural schoolgirl friends defeat their foes. Even better, he might end up with a few sexy slaves of his own.

  1. Highschool DxD used to be good but they ruin it by overused fanservice and Issei becoming more and more a dumbass.
