With a few volumes to its name since starting in Ribon magazine in 2013, Rie Outa’s manga series Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai, aka (I’m So Interested in Nekota That I Can’t Help Myself), got the nod back in December 2014 that it was going to be animated. The project is now formalized as an event anime project that will land with the Ribon Festa 2015 event in March and May as it moves between three locations over those months in Japan. While production information is still absent, the cast information has now been revealed for the leads:
Hiro Shimono as Nekota
Mikako Komatsu as Mikiko Amane
Rie Murakawa as Haruna Hoshi
Plot concept: The show revolves around Mikiko Amane, an elementary-school girl who has transferred schools many times. Because of this, she stopped making friends or getting deeply involved with people, since she knew she would move again soon. She had lived her life with a cool and uninterested personality, but at her new school, she meets a boy with a cat face! She’s so interested in him, she just can’t help herself.
