One of the best ways to easily raise awareness of the situation at the zoo is by handing out fliers in order to get people to visit. So it makes sense that they come up with the idea, but sending the animals to do it? That doesn’t exactly have people flocking to them, since the ones that went out are largely considered dangerous ones. It’s certainly cute as they try to get attention in order to help save the zoo, but it naturally goes comically wrong because of the situation itself – and the way they end up pretending to become massive in a Godzilla kind of way and stomp all over the city handing out their fliers.
In Summary:
The show certainly has some cute moments here as the seemingly main trio do their best to raise awareness of the zoo only to cause a lot of trouble instead. Like a lot of short form shows, it’s not really trying to establish anything here in a way but rather just having fun with the premise and moving things right along. It does it well here, especially for fans of the original show that identify with the characters more, but having not watched that I still smile easily at all of this silliness.
