Last night’s Sailor Moon panel at Katsucon 2015 brought some welcome news to the table as moderator Charlene Ingram of Viz Media hosted and talked about some new dub cast additions for the Sailor Moon R season. The panel largely focused on talking about known quantities out there with releases and plans, so there wasn’t a lot of new information for fans in the know, but it was a good panel for how most convention attendees are in that they don’t live and breathe anime news and likely learned a lot.
With the cast for Sailor Moon R, we’ve obviously got the main cast continuing on, but also a few new additions as well:
- Sandy Fox as Chibi-usa
- Veronica Taylor as Sailor Pluto/Setsuna Meioh
- Johanna Luis as An/Natsumi Ginga
- Brian Beacock as Ali/Seijuro Ginga
Sandy Fox has been around forever and is great to see again in anime, as shes’been working with Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures on Netflix recently. Veronica Taylor has kept herself involved in anime to be sure, though not to th level she once was, as her most recent released work was in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and she’s also been working in the upcoming release of Mobile Suit Gunda: The Origin as well as a couple of single episode appearances in Sailor Moon. Brian Beacock has several anime roles under his belt, including a good bit of work on Naruto and Bleach as well as Zatch Bell. Johanna Luis is the least known as she’s done small roles in a few shows, mostly from Viz Media, such as Accel World and Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet.
