What They Say:
The girls gather in a single room due to leaks and power outages in the zoo. At first the girls enjoy the sleepover-like experience, but Minami and the girls don’t return after leaving for the bathroom.

Since the zoo is in danger of disappearing, which is a big part of the premise, there’s definitely something fun about making the place scary for the newly arrived animal idols as the place is leaking and power is iffy at best. So what we get here is to see them all basically camping out together in one room where we can see who gets scared easily and who messes with others. This is definitely fun as it plays out and as things get legitimately scary for a couple of them until the real truth is revealed. With the show going for what seems to be two or three characters at a time for a story, with some cute background moments for others, it definitely works well. Minami is certainly stealing the show for me in general though.
In Summary:
When shows like this go the horror route, there’s always some fun wacky takes on the usual tropes of the horror genre, especially when it comes to certain aspects of the visual design with the sight gags. The show doesn’t break any new ground here but it’s light, harmless, cute and fun. And honestly, that’s what I want out of a show like this. It does it well here and is just the right length to make you smile and move along with your day.
