‘Violence Jack’ Anime DVD Cover Revealed

Violence Jack HeaderOriginally acquired back in June 2014, Discotek Media recently set the home video release date of February 24th, 2015 for the Violence Jack DVD rescue. The OVA series was previously released by Right Stuf before the license lapsed. The show was originally released in 1986, 1988 and 1990 in Japan with different production teams working on it. The DVD only release will include the original Japanese language track with subtitles and the English language dub. They list that it will be the longer version as well, for those that are looking at the differences in the previous releases.

The cover artwork below comes from the Hell’s Town episode release. Retailers have not gotten the solicitation information for this release but with it just over a month away it’ll likely be landing soon so fans can preorder it.

Plot concept: Kanto Hell Earthquake has demolished the metropolitan completely. After the earthquake, Slum King is kidnapping girls and sell them as sex slaves. Mari is wandering on the devastated field looking for her lover, Ken. But she is also kidnapped by them. While she is tortured and trained as a sex slave, Ken saves her. Ken has become the member of Slum King. The king offers condition to him; in return for releasing her, he has to kill Violence Jack.
