With the third OVA released with the fifth volume of the Magi: Sinbad no Boken last month, it’s now been revealed through the main Magi series that the Sinbad no Boken series will be getting a fourth OVA. This release is planned for a DVD-only bundle with the sixth volume of the series that’s set to land on April 17th, 2015 and will be priced at ,2980 yen for it.
As we get into a fourth installment, you do have to keep wondering how long it’ll be before it just gets a TV run of its own, even with as few volumes as there are overall.
Similar to the other installments, it brings in Daisuko Ono to play the lead while also including Akira Ishida, Tomokazu Sugita, Ai Kayano, Katsuyuki Konishi and Yoko Hiakasa as part of the production. The series is a spinoff of the Magi series that focuses on the character of Sinbad and his adventuers when he was younger. The first two OVAs tell one story, as the second episode is listed as the second half, and it’s expected that the third installment will work a new story for the cast.
