It’s been a few months since we’ve seen anything on this series, but now a new anime promo has arrived for the adaptation of Yu Yuki’s series Comical Psychosomatic Medicine. The series is getting a web anime that’s debuting on February 13th, 2015. Originally called Manga de Wakaru Shinryonaika, the 2010 series has eleven volumes out so far. The property has proven fairly popular in Japan with over three million copies sold and a drama CD that was bundled with the seventh volume raising the interest level a fair bit.
The cast announced for the show is pretty decent with Shinichiro Miki as Ryo Shinnai, Yurika Endo as Asuna Kangoshi, Yoko Hikasa as Iyashi Kangoshi, Maaya Uchida as Himeru Kangoshi and Kenichi Ogata as Sukizo Kangoshi.
Plot concept: The manga’s story centers on the psychologist Ryō and his nurse Asuna. The pair explain aspects of mental illness through a series of loosely connected cases that usually conclude in one manga chapter. With a light-hearted tone, the doctor helps readers understand conditions such as depression, adjustment disorder, and Asperger syndrome.
