Madman Entertainment has made another pickup for the Australian and New Zealand market with the acquisition of Love Live! School Idol Project. The company has not set a date for release yet beyond 2015, but the streaming side of it will happen shortly on the AnimeLab site to raise awareness for it. The announcement did not indicate whether it’s just for the first season or the two seasons that are out now. The show has been licensed in North America by NIS America and they’ve released the first season in a subtitled-only Blu-ray edition, which you can read our review for here.

Plot concept: The traditional school Otonokizaka High is situated between the three towns of Akihabara, Kanda, and Jimbocho. This school is also in imminent danger of closing. Because of this crisis, the second-year student Honoka Kosaka takes center stage with eight others to do something about it! The premium edition includes a 28-page, full-color, hardcover artbook with episode guides, character info, and illustrations.

“To protect the school we love so much, we have to do all we can… We have to become school idols! By becoming idols and advertising how great our school is to the world, more students will want to apply!”
