2 min read

Seraph of the End Image 1The anime adaptation of the Jump Square manga series Seraph of the End by Takaya Kagami and Yamato Yamamoto gave us some good information previously with the cast and a key visual, which you can see to the right, and they’ve now added more actors to the cast. The latest additions to the project, which doesn’t have a premiere date or season yet, include Takahiro Sakurai as Felid Bathory and Saori Hayami as Shinoa Hiiragi. The official site previously announced the lead cast with Miyu Irino as Yuichiro Hyakuya, Kensho Ono as Mikaela Hyakuya and Yuichi Nakamura as Guren Ichinose.

The series is set to be animated by Wit Studio, which will raise interest in it considerably for some, where it will be directed by Daisuke Tokutsuchi while Masashi Koizuka will serve as assistant director. The show will work off of scripts and composition by Hiroshi Seko while Satoshi Kadowaki will be handling the character designs.

The series began in 2012 with the first volume releasing in January 2013. The sixth installment landed back on September 4th, 2014 in Japan. Viz Media began their releases this past June and has four volumes scheduled up through March 2015.

Plot concept: After a catastrophic epidemic kills every adult on earth, vampires arise from the shadows to enslave the remaining human population. Yuichiro and his friends are kept as vampire fodder in a creepy institution masquerading as an orphanage. One day, Yuichiro’s dreams of fighting back are realized when the orphans stage a daring escape. But things go horribly wrong, and his dream is kept alive at a cruel price.
